Po 10-minutnem strnjenem “monologu” posameznega gosta sledi nagradna igra<\/strong> za knjigo oz. knjige po va\u0161i izbiri iz \u0161tevilnih antikvariatov Zalo\u017eni\u0161ko-knjigarni\u0161ke dru\u017ebe Antikvariat Cunjak<\/strong>, ki je podpornik Jugosfere.<\/p>\n

Goribor<\/b> (Serbian Cyrillic<\/a>: \u0413\u043e\u0440\u0438\u0431\u043e\u0440<\/span><\/span>; trans. Burning<\/a>bor<\/a><\/i>) is a Serbian<\/a> alternative rock<\/a> band from Bor<\/a>. Having performed as a teenage band called Projekat<\/b> (Serbian Cyrillic<\/a>: \u041f\u0440\u043e\u0458\u0435\u043a\u0430\u0442<\/span><\/span>; trans. The Project<\/i>) from 1988 until 1992, after a four-year hiatus, the band was reformed in 1996 by the founding members, the vocalist Aleksandar Stojkovi\u0107 “St” and guitarist \u017deljko Ljubi\u0107 “Pity” with the guitarist Predrag Markovi\u0107 “Pe\u0111a”. Until 2003 they had been making home-made demo recordings eventually released through the Croatian<\/a> independent record label<\/a> Slu\u0161aj Najglasnije!, after being discovered by the head of the label Zdenko Franji\u0107.<\/p>\n

In 2006 Franji\u0107 sent their recordings to the Pula<\/a> Art & Music festival demo competition on which they eventually won the second place and were praised for a unique rock expression. The success at the festival gave them an opportunity to release a studio album through a major record label Dancing Bear<\/a>. Simultaneously the band had become popular in Serbia<\/a> as well. Their eponymous debut studio album Goribor<\/a><\/i> received positive critics and several awards in both Serbia and Croatia, including the webzine Popboks award for the best album in the previous decade.<\/p>\n

In 1988, the band Projekat was formed in Bor<\/a> by the teenage friends Aleksandar Stojkovi\u0107 St (vocals, rhythm guitar) and \u017deljko Ljubi\u0107 “Pity” (lead guitar).[1]<\/a><\/sup> The material the band had performed, inspired by the SST Records<\/a> indie<\/a> and alternative rock<\/a> bands,[2]<\/a><\/sup> including the song “Ne\u0107u da stojim gde sam sad” (“I Do Not Want To Be Where I Am Now Standing”), was performed in Bor only.[3]<\/a><\/sup> The band had also performed at the Bor Guitar festival, occupying the last position in the band competition,[3]<\/a><\/sup> despite being the only band to play their own material.[4]<\/a><\/sup> They performed until 1992 when Stojkovi\u0107 moved to work and study in London<\/a> and Ljubi\u0107 went to serve the army.[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n

In 1996, Aleksandar Stojkovi\u0107 St returned from London, bringing a guitar, a rhythm machine and a TASCAM<\/a> four-track Portastudio<\/a>, and started recording home-made demo recordings with Ljubi\u0107 on guitar.[7]<\/a><\/sup> The recording equipment provided the two with an opportunity to make demo recordings of their own material despite the fact that probably it would not be released due to the difficulties in finding a record label.[4]<\/a><\/sup> During the same year, the two were joined by Predrag Markovi\u0107 “Pe\u0111a” (guitar) and Goran Ljubi\u0107 “Goger” (drums), thus Goribor was officially formed.[3]<\/a><\/sup> The band got the name after an everyday account in RTB Bor<\/a> when in the process of copper smelting<\/a> slag<\/a> is being separated from copper, giving an impression of a volcanic eruption or a large fire over the town.[8]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n

Being unable to perform elsewhere, the band had only played in Bor until 1999 when they went on hiatus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
